I have just finished reading the book Dare To Lead by Brene Brown.

I started reading this book in May last year after picking it from OR Tambo Airport.

No doubt – that is a long time to finish a book!

But I am not talking about books …

or reading NO …

I am talking about starting and finishing!

Starting something and finishing it.

Quick check-in: how many things do you have halfway done?

This is what I have come to learn:

When you start something and finish it, you clear valuable mental space to focus on what matters next.

When you don’t, half-baked pursuits occupy your mind in ways that can limit your ability and effectiveness to move forward.

But finishing doesn’t only mean completing.

You know … when you give something your best effort to completion … then release it to the universe and wait for its potential returns on investment.

Finishing can also mean dropping something before completing it – but not because it is hard NO …
Because it no longer serves you in the moment.
Because it does not align with what matters most for you now.

Finishing in this case means acknowledging and appreciating things that no longer qualify for your time and effort. It means …

Letting go of incomplete pursuits so that you can focus on what is sacred!

Whatever you do … strive to finish.

Start and finish.

Until next time,
